NOTICE OF 4th AND 5th PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR PROPOSED DISTRICT MAPS

On Tuesday, Dec. 11, the fourth and fifth public hearings will be held for the proposed redistricting of the Simi Valley Unified School District. The Regular Board meeting and public hearings will begin at 5 p.m. at Simi Valley City Hall, 2929 Tapo Canyon. The proposed district maps can be viewed HERE. The Public Hearing Notice is posted on the district's website at Board Meeting Videos and Agendas.

JUNIOR, TRANSITIONAL & TRADITIONAL KINDERGARTEN INFO NIGHTS COMING JAN. 2019

Our annual Junior/Transitional and Traditional Kindergarten Information Nights will be held in January. On Wednesday, Jan. 16, Junior/Transitional Kindergarten (JK/TK) Information Night will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. at Berylwood Elementary School. On Thursday, Jan. 17, Traditional Kindergarten Night will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. at Township Elementary School. Free childcare will be provided by First 5. SPECIAL MID-YEAR TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN CLASS OPEN FOR ENROLLMENT

The Governing Board is committed to providing equal opportunity for all individuals in district programs and activities. TITLE IX REGULATIONS

Every school district that receives federal funding is required to designate and/or adequately train at least one employee to coordinate the recipient's Title IX responsibilities. Title IX regulations also require the name and contact information of each Title IX coordinator be made public by the educational institution. The Simi Valley Unified School District affirms its commitment to equality of opportunity for all individuals. This commitment requires that no discrimination shall occur regarding admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, any program and activity on the basis of age, race, color, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, citizenship, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, medical condition, religion or marital status.

 

Complaints alleging non-compliance with Title IX can be filed by using the Uniform Complaint Procedures (UCP) as identified in California Code of Regulations, Title 5, Sections 4600 et. seq. and the Simi Valley Unified School District Board Policy 1312.3, and should be directed to the Title IX coordinator at school site involved.
