The Simi Valley Heroin Task Force was formed in February, 2012 by the City of Simi Valley, the Simi Valley Unified School District and the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District Board to provide information and education to the community about alcohol, drug and tobacco use by teens. Community leaders recognize that substance abuse is an issue that needs to be addressed in our community and understand their collective responsibility and commitment to provide a quality, safe, and substance-free environment for the youth of Simi Valley.
The Simi Valley Heroin Task Force is composed of community-based organizations, representatives from the Simi Valley City Council, Chamber of Commerce Chair, two members from the community organization, Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District Board, and the Simi Valley Unified School District Board.
