Current Bond Projects
In 2016, the voters of Simi Valley passed the Measure X Bond, a $239 million school facilities and safety bond to help improve all of our schools. This page is dedicated to highlighting some of the many current bond projects throughout the Simi Valley Unified School District.
Click on the buttons below to see current progress of our featured projects. Schools not listed may not have current work happening, or their work may already be completed, but in time, all of our 28 schools will see improvements from the Measure X Bond.

Learning Spaces Redesign Project
Beginning in 2017, the SVUSD began redesigning its classrooms and learning spaces (MakerSpaces, libraries, etc...), an effort that will eventually include ALL of the district's more than 700 learning spaces. Just as curriculum adapts over the years to what students need to learn, learning spaces need to also adapt and evolve to changing needs. As of August 2020, the following schools are finished or nearly finished with their refurbishing:
- Arroyo Elementary School
- Atherwood Elementary School
- Crestview Elementary School
- Katherine Elementary School
- Knolls Elementary School
- Mountain View Elementary School
- White Oak Elementary School
- Wood Ranch Elementary School
- Valley View Middle School
- Santa Susana High School
Projects are underway at Madera Elementary School and Hillside Middle School, and should be completed by the end of the 2020-2021 school year. Sinaloa Middle School and Simi Valley High School should begin their projects in the Summer of 2021.
The slide show below features many of the already completed redesign projects.
