Business & Facilities

Business & Facilities oversees the departments and offices of Child Nutrition, Facilities and Planning, Fiscal Services, Information Technology, Maintenance and Operations, Measure X Bond, Purchasing, Risk Management and Student Safety, and Transit for the Simi Valley Unified School District. 

GUIDE TO DEPARTMENTS UNDER BUSINESS & FACILITIES

CHILD NUTRITION: Handles all food services for students and staff and provides information about lunch programs.

FACILITIES AND PLANNING: Handles all SVUSD facilities and planning issues, project management, and the use of district facilities. Also oversees the Measure X Bond program and related projects.

FISCAL SERVICES: Oversees the SVUSD budget, accounting, payroll services, accounts receivables, accounts payables, attendance accounting (enrollment), and reporting.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY: Oversees and implements the district's technology plans for all campuses and district buildings. Handles phone services, Internet/WiFi services, email accounts, cyber-security, Aeries (student information system), data collection and submission, and all computer-related equipment and services.

MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS: Part of Facilities and Planning, provides custodial services, facilities and grounds maintenance and repair services.

MEASURE X BOND: Part of Facilities and Planning, oversees all of the Measure X Bond operations, including planning, project management, bids, contractors, designs, site concerns, and more.  

PURCHASING: Manages the warehouse, purchasing operations, the SVUSD print shop, mailroom and inventory services.

RISK MANAGEMENT: Supervises safety, risk assessment and workers' compensation information.

STUDENT SAFETY AND TRANSPORTATION: Handles transportation needs for eligible students, school bus safety, and maintenance.
