Justin Early Learners Academy
Justin Early Learners Academy (JELA) is dedicated to serving the needs of our district’s youngest learners. We are an integrated facility that incorporates several Simi Valley Unified School District programs, including the Special Education Preschool Program, Ventura County Regional Infant Program, Preschool Speech Program and the Adult School Learning Garden Parent Education Program. The Simi Valley Unified School District/YMCA General Education Preschool and after school Program and the Simi Valley First 5 Family Resource Center and are also on campus. The agencies work collaboratively to achieve the same goal of being a premier early childhood facility for Simi Valley families and students.
Special Education Preschool Program
The Special Education Preschool Program is a play based and language enriched program serving children ages 3 to 5 with special needs. We address all areas of development including social, communication, motor skills, behavior and pre-academic/intellectual skills through structured play. We are committed to creating a developmentally appropriate environment that invites children to reach their fullest potential.
Preschool Speech Program
The Preschool Speech Program provides services for children ages 3 to 5 with assessed Speech and Language delays. Students attend weekly speech services to address areas of concern such as intelligibility, articulation and social language.
The Learning Garden Preschool
Parent education classes through the Simi Institute for Careers & Education (SICE) are designed to acquaint parents with characteristics common to the preschool child, including effective discipline techniques for each stage. Classes provide parents with unique hands-on involvement with their children in a supportive, developmentally appropriate environment with age-appropriate materials and activities. Contact (805) 579-6200 for information.
YMCA Preschool Program
