California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS)
The California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) will take place from December 4 to 15, 2023. The survey is given electronically to all 6th, 7th, 9th and 11th graders in most of our schools; all students in grades 6 through 12 at Apollo High School and Monte Vista School will be given the survey. This very important survey helps promote better health and well-being among our youth, improves the school learning environment and combats problems such as drug abuse and violence. The results from this survey are completely anonymous and will be compiled into district- and county-level CHKS Reports. Families will receive a letter by email around November 14 that will provide additional information about the CHKS survey. If you do not wish to have your child participate in the survey, please return the opt-out portion of the letter and carefully follow the directions.
