Understanding Neurodiversity

The UC/CSU Collaborative for Neuroscience, Diversity and Learning brings together researchers and educators from the University of California and California State University to provide resources to support students with diverse learning needs, including dyslexia. The Collaborative's goal is to "grow the knowledge and skills in all those who impact the experience of diverse learners in school, ensuring that everyone has access to trusted information to inform decision-making and practice." Pursuant to Education Code 234.6(c), Simi Valley Unified School District is ensuring these resources are available to our families. These materials are intended to help support parents, teachers and students to build learning environments that celebrate strengths inclusive of all students.
