SUMMER SCHOOL

Summer School 2020

We are pleased to announce that enrollment for Summer School 2020 is now open. This year, Summer School will again be hosted by Learn4Life/Vista Real Charter School.

Here is what you need to know:

We will have three programs this year: Summer Elementary School for INCOMING grades 2 through 6, Summer Middle School for INCOMING grades 7 and 8 and Summer High School for INCOMING grades 9 through 12.

Please read through this general information carefully and then use the website links at the end of this message for more specific information and enrollment access.

  • Summer Elementary School will be held from 8 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. beginning Wednesday, July 1 and running to Tuesday, July 28 at Berylwood Elementary School (2300 Heywood Street). There is no Summer School on Friday, July 3. Incoming 2nd and 3rd graders will be able to participate in the Literacy Academy. Incoming 4th, 5th and 6th graders will participate in the Math Academy AND STEAM Camp. Please refer to the website below for more information. PLEASE NOTE: SUMMER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IS NOW A DISTANCE LEARNING PROGRAM DUE TO STAY-AT-HOME GUIDELINES.
  • Summer Middle School will be held from Wednesday, July 1 through Tuesday, July 28 at Sinaloa Middle School (601 Royal Avenue). There is no Summer School on Friday, July 3. The day will be broken into two periods. Period 1 runs from 8:15 to 10:15 a.m. and Period 2 from 10:35 a.m. to 12:35 p.m. There are many courses available and all are designed to better prepare students for their next year of middle school. Please refer to the website below for more information. PLEASE NOTE: SUMMER MIDDLE SCHOOL IS NOW A DISTANCE LEARNING PROGRAM DUE TO STAY-AT-HOME GUIDELINES.
  • Summer High School will be held from Wednesday, July 1 through Tuesday, July 28 at Royal High School (1402 Royal Avenue). There is no Summer School on Friday, July 3. The day will be broken into two periods. Period 1 runs from 8 to 10:10 a.m. and Period 2 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. At the high school level, summer school is designed mostly for credit recovery. Courses must be pre-approved by your child’s current counselor.
